Balance perspective and some suggestions about server.

Free talismans will destroy the economy of the server. But r40 start +

Good idea is to fix bugs, keep server live and hold support - rr40 and starting items is no necessary though.

Well, I'm an altoholic and I have +14 r40's in other server. I'm sure I'm not the only one, so have to grinding all the stuff from 0 is not something that attracts me. Of course I'll give this a try, but having some r40 templates would help a lot to fill the server asap.

please for love of the gods don't be doing any class balancing it is a big part why X server is in a stupid state. would be really nice for the new server to focus on getting to AoR state before even thinking about changing classes.
if xp is raised by x amount shouldnt be a issue perhaps you could offer a 1 time 40 boost for first week 1 per account of something like that, T1 is alot of fun for some people ( not me but there are some that enjoy it ).

I think interesting way to go about the process of leveling is too look at the approach that SWG Legends took. SWG Legends allowed you to instantly reach max rank with some gear on one character. Any alts you made after that would have to be leveled up as usual. WAR is 10 years old now and most people want relieve the moments they had with their old mains, not go through the redundant leveling we had to go through with RoR.

It all comes down to what the People running it want out of the server. And my very limited interaction with one of the members tells me that the goal here is to create a server focused largely on the competitive aspects of the game. So fast leveling was always on the table while Instant 40 seemed like too much to hope for. Both approaches are fine, but at the end of the day fast leveling becomes pointless as the population will progress past the lower tiers at a rate that will leave pve grind as the only viable option.

So a decision has to be made about merged tiers before the leveling can be discussed. Will the tiers stay merged? If so, CR40 should either be Instant or attainable at an extremely boosted rate through T1, which would serve as kind of a tutorial. Competing for any amount of time with largely varying access to skills, tactics, gir, renown etc. seems unacceptable to me at least.

Will the tiers be separate? Only way this will work is if the population is big enough to support it, and fast leveling would break the lower tiers in no time if leveling is fast. So this would force almost ror like leveling. This in turn forces a grind to end game content, and hampers the competitive aspects of the end game, and especially if the grind for a competitive renown grind and gear grind stays as on RoR, it will limit compositions and playerbase that are competitive severely.

So, to me there are two long term viable options and one option that would royaly fuck this server. First one is to keep tiers merged and give Instant 40. Second option is to make ONLY t4 part of the RvR campaign, and also give Instant 40. Third option is to keep leveling and tiers as originally made, slow leveling and the classic progression of t1 to t2 to t3 to t4. First option would also work with the T1 as a 1-40 experience granted the XP gain is boosted massively enough, which is also what I wish RoR would be like.
