If APO is to succeed and draw more potential players in you need finish whats been happening over the weekend in terms of making it as easy as possible to get players into t4, and geared to some baseline level to inject more players into t4 so PvP can happen and players who are already invested have a reason to stick around instead of quitting or not playing becuase "nothing is going on"
Level 1 scrolls to 40, removing the RR requirement on vanguard, etc... were all good steps to this end. But it remains there is still some unnecessary grind that could potentially stop players from wanting to roll here. Having to farm ~10-12 gold naked namely to get vanguard. Cutting that out would do a lot to making things easier for everyone to get into the lakes.
Reducing the cost on vanguard to 1 bronze, or having the scroll award 25 ruin medallions (full set) would elimate this. Even moving the vendor to where characters spawn into the world would all help immensely.
Imagine being able to create a character, log in, get 40 instantly, spend a few minutes getting the gear, setting up your spec etc... then instantly PvPing.
I understand the time it would take to do some of this, but I think it would make the server a lot healthier and make it easier for some people on the fence to come and try at least since there is no perceived grinding period, as you could enjoy war without any PvE at all.
